A Thousand Cranes 2011

Saturday, January 29th, 2011

Tuesday, Mar. 29 @ 6:00 p.m.

Hear the poignant story, “A Thousand Cranes” as read by members of the Algonac Community Theater. The story is based on the true story of Sadako, a young girl born in Hiroshima during World War II.  After the reading help make your own paper cranes to display in the library as a sign of peace. Individuals, organizations, youth and church groups are invited to stop in anytime during the month of March to make additional cranes in hopes of making “A Thousand Cranes” as a statement of peace honoring the “Season for Nonviolence.” Call for more info. 810.794.4471
